Antones
On Thursday we were fortunate enough to experience playing on a stage that is somewhat legendary in Austin. Antones has been the epicenter of the "live" music experience here in Austin for several decades. You can feel the energy when you walk into the room. We feel honored that another up and coming band from Austin, Damesviolet, thought of us when deciding on a supporting act for their official CD release party. We had a blast playing in front of all the fans that braved the cold -- and we thank you all for that. We really hope that Antones will have us back some time in the very near future -- because it truly is one of the best places for "live" music in the city of Austin.

There is no doubt this band is destined for true greatness. If you have sat in an audience in close proximity to meridianwest and seen them "live" you would understand. There music transcends a power that is rare in music today. You actually "feel" something when you listen to them. There is a very real physical and emotional reaction when listening. Music today is angst ridden....an escape from reality. It's more of a chore to listen to. meridianwest's music makes you want to reach out an embrace it...because it is so real.....so pure -- it brings happines. The Antones show was amazing! I have enjoyed witnessing the bands growth over the last year, and I truly look forward to what these boys will come up with next.
