In an era of music where it has become the norm to have five members in a band, MERIDIANWEST has managed to create a giant wall of sound as a trio. With Mark Gibson on vocals/guitars, Ryan Magnani on bass guitar, and David Kittredge on the drums, each member's contributions are a powerful representation of their respective instruments and personalities. As talented as they are as individual musicians, it is when they come together on stage that they create an overall sound that is staggeringly unique. They have successfully combined the rawness and simplicity of the great rock bands from the 60's and 70's, with large atmospheric landscapes created by the artists of the 80's. Although MERIDIANWEST is constantly striving to create new sounds and types of songs, one element stays the same; they progressively become better musicians and songwriters with each song.

Great to hear ya'll the other night. Even though you felt that it sounded a little weird on stage, I thought you guys really belt it out...despite how tiresome you probably were.
A friend of mine that showed up hadn't been to one of your shows in a YEAR...and said that he was blown away at how much you've grown as a band, musically and performance wise. It's nice that people take notice to all the hard work you guys put in.
Also, just a side note, I had lunch with my boss yesterday and she was telling me how years ago she was approached by Kevin Wommack (Loophole Entertainment) to do PR for Los Lonely Boys and how now they've blossomed into what they are today. It's good to hear stories of locals from Texas making it in this industry...because it isn't easy...and again...hard work pays off. Keep it up! :)
